Anytime I attempt to play any MP3 file my computer locks up. I am using Windows XP Pro SP2 for my operating system and would love to klnow what the best solution is to resolve the problem. I have Window Media player as well as ITunes and the MP3 Files play fine after I import them into ITunes and play them from within ITunes.

Dear Dominic,
Given your description I assume this is either the software or settings for Windows Media player were damaged.
Please try and re-install Windows Media Player.
Get the latest edition you can off Microsoft's site.
Do NOT uninstall the current Windows Media Player.
This is since its kind of tightly integrated with the Operated System and removing it might affect other operations.

Thanks for the quick reply. As an update, I donwloaded and installed the latest version of Windows Media Player (Ver 11) and I still have the same problem. Do you have any other ideas?
